Description: This special-edition colourway flaunts a clean clay leather upper, shored up by a nappy suede on the T-toe and eye stay panels. Dousing the silhouette with Bonner’s usual premium touch is the set of blue faux croc skin 3-Stripes across the sidewall, a detail we’ve seldom seen since the “Alligator Records” edition of the Superstar back in 2008. Elsewhere, lighter swathes of blue felt make up the inner lining, giving you a quality on-foot feel. A “Wales Bonner” imprint adorns the sides, replacing the usual “Samba” label. The tongue and heel tab feature blacked-out stitching, paying homage to the designer’s Afro-Atlantic heritage. The two-tone flat lace is very fitting within today’s current trend cycle, a motif that Bonner has been pushing with her own in-house footwear. Sleek and timeless, the gum rubber sole anchors the elegant upper in a familiar 3-Stripes feel, tying it to the already-impressive library of adidas x Wales Bonner favourites.
